Burberry introduces the Rucksack based on its military archive styles

Burberry has introduced its latest accessory, The Rucksack, as part of its spring/summer 2016 "Functionregalia" collection, together with a monogramming service to personalise each bag.

The large and small versions are now available for men and women.

Dating to the early 20th century, the bag design is taken from Burberry's military archive styles and transformed into a lightweight carryall in waterproof nylon woven in a compact gabardine construction, inspired by the brand's signature trench coat's fabrics. With added functional multizip pockets, metal chain shoulder straps and leather trims, the bag has been reworked with a contemporary style.

The front pocket can be embellished with a customised gold metal monogram, which is handmade using a traditional gold work technique.
