There is something undeniably satisfying about getting your skin lasered and your teeth whitened during lunch hour while still having time to grab a bite on the way back to the office. It’s 2016 and multitasking has been taken to a whole new level. Here are our top picks for quick – and effective – fixes for busy people on the go:

WHAT: A YAG laser zaps dirt and bacteria from your pores while helping with long-term pigmentation and collagen production; then the IPL (intense pulse light) evens out your skin tone and stimulates your skin’s collagen.

WHY: Because this takes a grand total of 10 minutes and not even masques work that fast.

BONUS: You wear goggles during the procedure so that your eye make-up is untouched. There’s also no redness afterwards, so you can just head straight back to the office or your next engagement.

WHAT: It’s a 20-minute treatment that bleaches your teeth with a whitening gel and LED plasma light technology. On average, teeth get five shades whiter.

WHY: Because there’s very little tooth sensitivity afterwards (some people even get two treatments back to back), and the results are long-lasting – our own teeth remained the same post-whitened shade even when we returned weeks later.

BONUS: It’s so much hipper than the dentist’s office – think comfy egg chairs, snazzy headphones and chargers for your phone.

WHAT: A small, handbag-friendly kit of makeup crayons and tools that cover the nude spectrum, from sculpting, bronzing and concealing pencils to lip and cheek sticks, moisture pencils and brow wax.

WHY: Because it’s small (it will fit in a clutch), handy in a make-up emergency and we all love playing with crayons. For a truly essential selection, we recommend the dual-ended lip/ cheek pencil and sheer eye colour for an allover fix.

BONUS: The back of the lid is mirrored and the sharpener is sized perfectly to fit right in with your crayons.

The idea of playing with your food is showing no signs of abating, and the newest treatments promise to feed your skin as well as your stomach.

Superfood, for example, is no longer just for trendy health freaks – the Shatin Hyatt Regency’s Melo Spa has created a Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial that moisturises your skin and enhances its luminosity. The 75- minute treatment (HK$1,380) includes a microcirculatory massage and a two-phase amino active mask that plumps up skin cells for smoother, firmer skin while lending it a youthful radiance.

From the neck down, the Banyan Tree Spa in Macau has you covered. The new Banyan Indulgences package (1,980 patacas), available for a limited time until the end of the month, first exfoliates your body with a 30- minute, refreshing tangerine body scrub. The treatment that follows is a special 90-minute body massage using a therapeutic herbal pouch dipped in warm sesame oil for a soothing, luxurious experience.

There’s a new kid on the block and it’s supported by a luxury behemoth – Recherché LVMH has helped develop Cha Ling L’Esprit du Thé, a new skincare brand characterised by its emphasis on pu’er tea properties and sustainability.

THE STORY: Laurent Boillot, chief executive of Guerlain (LVMH Group), met German biologist Josef Margraf and his wife Minguo-Li, a successful journalist, on a trip to China. The three formed a friendship, based in part on a shared love for the rainforest where 500-yearold tea plants could grow protected from pollution. Their goal was to revive tea production in the forest, ensure that crops would be grown and harvested without the use of pesticides or fertilisers, preserve the cultural heritage and supply a steady income to local families.

THE COLLECTION: The range of products is impressive, including everything from cleansing solutions, serums, masks and creams to facial brushes, steam tablets, fragrance and ceramic accessories.

THE LOCATION: Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui
