Graff Diamonds unveils collection centred around the ancient art of carving gemstones

The art of carving gemstones dates back to ancient times, and to celebrate the craft, Laurence Graff joined his team of gemologists to source historic carved gemstones and rework them into exceptional jewellery pieces with a touch of modernity.

The star of the collection is a 33.70ct old-mine Indian-carved emerald watch made with the combined craftsmanship of Graff's London and Geneva workshops. The solitaire gem features exquisite carvings of a delicate flower, and conceals a dazzling diamond dial underneath. About 200 hours were spent on mounting, setting and polishing the stone, while maintaining its fine quality and true colour.
