Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana team up to create an artistic haute-couture refrigerator

Smeg's iconic FAB28 refrigerator - known for its retro 1950s-inspired look - gets a haute couture makeover this spring, courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana. The two brands have teamed up to produce 100 refrigerators that embody the essence of Sicilian art and excellence in Italian design.

Each fridge embraces timeless Sicilian themes and motifs in the artwork, including favourites such as lemons, the trinacria symbol found on the flag of Sicily, and battle scenes with medieval knights.

The refrigerators come in a range of colourful palettes and are the perfect addition to any home, bringing with it a stylish flair. The craftsmanship and artisanship displayed by the refrigerators make them pieces of 3D art.

Fans of Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg can view the special collaboration up close at the upcoming Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2016, held from April 12 to 17 in Milan.
