Oris launches the Artelier Calibre 113, an elegant, minimalistic timepiece, at Baselworld

Oris Artelier Calibre 113

The latest timepiece to launch at Baselworld this year is the Artelier Calibre 113, a beautiful, clean and elegant timepiece from Oris.

The Artelier Calibre 113 is the fourth and latest model from the Artelier collection, following the Calibre 110, 111 and 112. The first timepiece, Calibre 110, was created in 2014 to commemorate the maison’s 110th anniversary. It also marked the first time in nearly 40 years that the brand had created a whole, complete movement.

The Calibre 113 is a hand-wound movement and beats at 21,600 vph. It boasts a 10-day power reserve and a patented non-linear power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. It also displays – for the first time – a business calendar, which indicates the date, day, week and month via a date window at 9 o’clock, a day window a 12 o’clock, and a week and month indicator at the rim of the dial. Despite there being a wide range of things to look at, the dial is kept surprisingly clean, minimalistic and, most importantly, uncluttered.

Part of that clean aesthetic is thanks to a clever engineering that allows the wearer to control all functions via a single crown at 3 o’clock. The 43mm timepiece comes encased within a multipiece stainless steel case and a transparent sapphire crystal case back. The view from the case back, too, like the dial, is clean and minimalist and does not offer any wild, fantastical views.

Two versions are available: an anthracite dial with nickel indices and an opaline silver dial with gold-plated indices. Dark brown leather straps are available for the anthracite dial, while the opaline dial can be paired with either grey, black or dark brown leather straps.
