STYLE Edit: My Cesare sneaker is Zegna’s venture into athletic-inspired fashion footwear

Sneakerheads can customise their own look using Zegna’s interactive design application, and personalised sneakers will be available in six to eight weeks
Zegna unveiled its first fully-personalised sneaker, My Cesare, at the launch of the Ermenegildo Zegna XXX winter 2019 fashion show.
Few brands – least of all those in the luxury industry – can offer this level of customisation. But Ermenegildo Zegna has a history of made-to-measure service, with a lot of their craft done meticulously by hand. The process now extends into the world of Zegna sneakers.
Thousands of My Cesare creations are possible with shade customisation using Pantone colours.
The latest addition to the XXX collection, the Cesare sneaker, is extremely light as a result of its rubber sole. This is Zegna’s venture into athletic-inspired fashion footwear, using innovating materials while maintaining the “tailor-made” trademark.
The Cesare sneaker retains the illusion of a strong, formidable silhouette with overlapping mesh and leather, multi-material construction, and leather detailing. The overall design was inspired by the graphics and typefaces of ancient Rome, and the sneaker is named after the Emperor Caesar.
The XXX logo features on the My Cesare profile, while the Ermenegildo Zegna lettering is on the tongue.
