It’s Lunar New Year and the rat’s out of the bag. There is one place in the city that has you covered for all things Lunar New Year, in suitable style, and that is K11 Musea.

Find new dining establishments, workshops and festive gifts at the chic Victoria Dockside location which opened to much fanfare last year.

Yung’s Bistro marks the renowned Yung Kee Restaurant’s first new venture since 1942. The famous Central establishment has been serving some of the city’s finest roast goose since the second world war and will now offer authentic Cantonese fare in the new, elevated K11 location.

Tirpse, the Michelin-starred contemporary French-Japanese fusion restaurant which opened in Tokyo in 2013, also joins the K11 Musea directory. The Tokyo eatery was selected as the world’s 50 best restaurants by Diners Club International.

For even more foodie delights, K11 Musea has announced an Art Food Workshop just in time for Lunar New Year’s plethora of family feasts. The workshop will teach you how to make kung pao prawns at Shu K, the modern Sichuan restaurant by Elite Concepts dining group.

You will be taught by the esteemed Chengdu-born Chef Deng, who says: “There are thousands of flavours waiting to be explored. The secret of Sichuan cuisine is more than just numbness and spiciness; it’s a melting pot of hundreds of dishes and flavours where each dish has its own character and style.”

For those that follow Chinese mythology, the Year of the Rat is said to be all about personal development and overcoming obstacles. K11 Wellness is also hosting a workshop this season – with Brian Lai, founder of Primal Breathwork – that may give you a leg up on your self-development journey. Learn breathing techniques Navy Seals, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and yogis all swear by with Lai at the exclusive K11 workshop.
