10 make-up artists loved by celebrities: from Beyoncé’s fave Sir John and Kim K’s go-to Mario Dedivanovic, to Ariana Grande’s glam looks by Ash K Holm and Meghan Markle’s wedding glow by Daniel Martin
While many of these professionals support the strikes, celebrity make-up artists have also been speaking up about their own challenges. Over the past five months, they’ve faced empty schedules as the protests continued. Hopefully, with WGA reaching a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on Sunday, their calendars will begin to fill up once again.
Meanwhile, we’re highlighting 10 talented make-up artists you can start following right away.
1. Mario Dedivanovic
Born and raised in the Bronx to Albanian immigrant parents from Montenegro, Dedivanovic started his career as a fragrance consultant in Sephora, and now counts Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner and Salma Hayek as long-time clients.
He founded his own cosmetics brand, Makeup By Mario, in 2020.
