There’s a reason why Australian company Aesop has become the go-to label for indulgent body care rituals: its products are a winning combination of beautiful design and great results. The brand’s recently launched new soap bars – Refresh, Polish and Nurture – are just as effective and luxurious as its bestselling gel cleansers and scrubs.

Invigorating Refresh provides a non-drying cleanse; Polish a mild exfoliation and Nurture a gentle wash for dry skin. While showering with a bar is not everyone’s choice, you can rely on Aesop to turn you into a fan – plus it means one less plastic bottle in the world.

2. Amuse hand creams: full of beans

Hand creams are one of those on-the-go products that are fun to share with friends and a low-key way to show off, which is why we’re always looking for ones that come in pretty packaging. We recently discovered fun South Korean skincare brand Amuse, available at Sephora in Hong Kong. The label’s vegan soybean hand cream contains nourishing ceramide, and comes in three formulations: fruity Energy, fragrance-free Unstress and musky Pleasure.

3. Light fantastic: Diptyque candles

Diptyque candles have become a staple of beautifully appointed homes, fine dining establishments and luxury hotels. From Baies (berries) to Figuier (fig tree), the brand’s scents are instantly recognisable. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Diptyque candle, first created by founders Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Montadre-Gautrot and Yves Coueslant three years after the opening of their first boutique in Paris. To celebrate, Diptyque is releasing a limited edition set with all the range’s 49 scents collected in a beautiful presentation box.
