Happenings: Valentino threw open its revitalised Paris doors to unveil its new womenswear and capsule collections. Located in rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s glamorous and historic 1st arrondissement, the Valentino flagship store has undergone a refurbishment by renowned British architect David Chipperfield reflecting the brand’s lushness. The boutique is accented with velvet and marble among other luxurious materials.
The September 26 drinks party showcased the new Valentino womenswear collection and the launch of the exclusive “Dedicated to You” capsule collection created by Valentino’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and Toronto spoken word artist Mustafa The Poet. The collection, comprising a skirt, shirt, sweatshirt and tee, is emblazoned with Mustafa’s verse: “We can’t escape what keeps us dreaming”.
