Where did Mukesh Ambani, Shiv Nadar, Lakshmi Mittal and other Indian billionaires go to high school?

From Mumbai’s now-closed Hill Grange High School to the colonial Town Higher Secondary School, a small number of elite schools in India have educated a surprising cluster of billionaires and other high profile public figures
Much is made of where Indian billionaires like Mukesh Ambani went to university to complete their studies. But less is said about where such titans of industry spent their formative years learning. Despite its vast size, a number of top schools in India have educated a surprising cluster of billionaires and other high profile Indians.
Here are where five of India’s richest men – and other notable contemporaries – went to school.
Mukesh Ambani: Hill Grange High School

The school’s reputation is further burnished thanks to graduates who excelled in the arts such as Rajesh Khanna, dubbed the “first superstar” of Indian cinema, and actress Neetu Singh and author Ashok K Banker.
Shiv Nadar: Town Higher Secondary School

Located in Kumbakonam in southeastern India, close to Sri Lanka, Town Higher was established in 1864 during the glory days of the British Raj. The school celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2014 and the school is still going strong. Shiv Nadar, worth an estimated US$16.1 billion, is arguably the school’s most famous pupil but there are a number of other notable individuals who spent their formative years in Kumbakonam.
Former Indian finance minister TV Sadasiva Pandarathar and influential newspaper editor S Kasturi Ranga Iyengar are other notable graduates.
Lakshmi Mittal: Shri Daulatram Nopany Vidyalaya
