He told The Advocate , “I know I’m an Asian dude, but now that I think … we’re more likely to see Asian leading men, I think we’re going to see new stories being told that are not what we’re used to in terms of the action genre.” 6 K-pop idols speaking up for LGBTQ+ rights Alex Landi Alex Landi entered the spotlight when he played the first gay surgeon, Dr Nico Kim, in Grey’s Anatomy . By taking the role he hoped to challenge Asian TV and LGBTQ+ stereotypes. During an interview with Attitude , he said, “I’m trying to break stereotypes.
