Both from Jeonju in South Korea, they moved to Seoul to pursue their dreams of becoming singers. The pair are so close, they even have matching tattoos – with Wheein rocking copies of two of Hwasa’s six known tats.
Choi Soo-jung
Another long-time friend of Hwasa, Choi Soo-jung showed how close they are in an episode of I Live Alone. During a road trip, Choi revealed how Hwasa lost a drastic amount of weight (from 133lbs to 100lbs – or 60kg to 45kg – in two-to-three months) in order to debut. Choi said that when she watched her friend on stage for the first time, she got really emotional and felt proud of her.

Choi was part of a China-South Korea girl group called Lotte Girls in 2010. She and Hwasa became close during their early days in the business and have kept in touch ever since.
Chungha
Chungha started as a fangirl and eventually became friends with Hwasa. The former member of the now-disbanded group, IOI, has shown interest in collaborating with her and in one interview, Hwasa said she'd like to collaborate with Chungha, too.
There are still no solid plans for the dance track that Chungha wants them to work on together. But in the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejun (a sort of battle of the bands), the pair put on an epic performance. On a special stage at the awards show, they danced to Mi Gente by J Balvin and Willy William.

Loco
Aside from his own rhythmic songs, Loco is the rapper behind a few memorable K-Drama original soundtracks. The most notable ones are Say Yes from Scarlet Heart: Ryeo and Star from Memories of Alhambra. He has long been a proud fanboy of Hwasa and admitted on multiple occasions that she's his ideal girl.
Eventually, they were able to meet, thanks to the reality show called Hyena on the Keyboard. The couple collaborated on the sultry track, Don’t. They have had obvious chemistry every time they appeared on shows or in live performances together.
