Cha Eun-woo, a member of the K-pop group Astro and now actor, looks like he was born to be an idol, but did you know he grew up thinking that he wasn’t handsome?

On the talk show Happy Together Cha Eun-woo revealed that he was raised by a strict mother who rarely complimented him. But when he started to work in the entertainment industry she later sent him heartwarming messages apologising and explaining her motives: she knew he was exceptionally handsome and but didn’t want him to become arrogant. Now he says they share a “mother-daughter-like relationship”, going on “dates” together.
