Harper Seven is taking after mum Victoria Beckham already – here’s why she will be the family’s next queen of fashion

Harper Seven Beckham might have only just turned nine years old, but she’s well on her way to becoming an even bigger fashion icon than either of her parents.

The daughter of famous footballer David “Becks” and Posh Spice-turned-fashion-designer Victoria, Harper chooses her own clothes, some of which are designer and even custom-made.

In an interview with The New York Times, Victoria Beckham applauded her daughter saying, “Harper is incredibly chic and wears some incredibly sweet things. She's a very stylish little thing with her own sense of how she wants to dress. She tends to choose exactly what she wears herself.”

Her old clothes are sold and the proceeds are donated to the charity, Save the Children.

She hasn't even turned 10 yet and she has already graced the cover of British Vogue, along with the family.

Harper's name has been the cause of intrigue from day one. When dad David was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he revealed that his sons are huge fans of Justin Bieber and that they wanted their youngest sibling to be named Justin if it was a boy, or Justine if it was a girl.

They went with Harper Seven. On a Facebook video Beckham explains, “Victoria’s favourite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s a very strong, passionate book and the author was Harper Lee, and that is where Harper came from.”

As for her second name, Seven, football fans might know that David's jersey number was seven for a while, but there was more to it than that. “The other reasons behind Seven were because it symbolises spiritual perfection, the Seven Wonders Of The World, seven colours of the rainbow and in many cultures around the world it's regarded as a lucky number,” he adds.

Harper and David are seen here in this video doing Chinese calligraphy for the number seven – where, of course, eight is regarded as the most auspicious of numbers.

Though consistently under the spotlight, Harper seems to be growing up to be a well-rounded girl. She enjoys football just like her father.

She also enjoys beekeeping, cooking, drawing, horseback riding and ballet, among many other things.

She also participates in her parent's charity work.

And what's more normal for a British girl than to be a Potterhead? David says on an Instagram post that Harper loves Harry Potter.

It comes as no surprise that she dressed as Hermione for book day.

And though only nine, Harper clearly loves some at-home TLC, perhaps something that she got from Posh Spice.
