Kendall Jenner’s US$8.5 million home is surprisingly understated – except for the NSFW neon Tracey Emin artwork on the lounge wall …

Honestly, we expected more bling from Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian’s sister – arranged around a central pool, Kendall’s house includes an art room, small bar, and fitting and glam rooms – but it’s all pretty chill, except one statement piece by a certain celebrated British artist
But Kendall Jenner has proved everybody wrong. In spite of entertaining her 137 million followers on Instagram with a grid full of parties, catwalks, photoshoots and travels around the globe, her LA home turned out to be the opposite of her jet-setting, on-the-go, lavish lifestyle. In fact, her home – still worth a hefty US$8.5 million, it should be said – exudes a peaceful, Spanish farmhouse vibe. Just perfect for slowing down and relaxing.
“My life involves a lot of chaos and travel and high energy, so I wanted a home that feels serene, a place where I can simply zone out and relax,” Jenner explained to Architectural Digest when she opened her home for a feature.
A soothing refuge is what the magazine calls it, a perfect project for Kathleen and Tommy Clements of Clements Designs, and Waldo Fernandez of the eponymous design house. This explains why her home is not sat on an exaggeratedly large plot, nor filled with an impractically large number of rooms.
Upon entering through the airy alcove, you are greeted by a living room adorned in neutral, earth tones with only small splashes of colour. The colour comes from intricately designed pillows and a couple of artworks on her walls. One is a James Turrell light installation called Scorpius (US$750,000) and two are from Barbara Kruger.
This seems to be the vibe that Jenner was going for, as her kitchen is bathed in an earthy teal tone with her worktops in white.
And her dining area has a double rug and a long wooden table swarmed with mismatched wooden chairs.
