In an era where dynastic families are being called out for nepotism and shameless self-promotion, Ranbir has broken the mould and shines on pure talent.
As he turns 38 on September 28, here are a few things to know about the fiercely private star (a confessed introvert), who will next be seen in the film Brahmastra, alongside girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.

He’s secretly on Instagram
Ranbir is one of the very few A-list Bollywood actors not loud or apparent on social media: he’s nowhere to be found on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, unlike his (rather vainglorious) peers, except for brief spells when he is required to promote new films.
But when asked in a past interview by Indian media portal DNA, Ranbir said he is secretly on Instagram and follows his ex-girlfriends Katrina Kaif (above) and (below) India’s top actress Deepika Padukone. No one quite knows under what handle – who knows, he might even be following you!
