Although currently known for his acting prowess, Won actually made his debut as a singer, not an actor.

He was a member of coed television performance group Frees for a year before debuting as a musical theatre actor in 2007.

He’s doing a master’s

One of Won’s lifetime goals is to become a professor.

After finishing up filming for the K-drama Good Doctor, which was one of the busiest periods of his career, Won started a master’s degree at Konkuk University’s Graduate School of Mass Communication and Public Relations.

He almost missed out

His very first TV audition was for Bread, Love and Dreams, one of South Korea’s most popular K-dramas.
