Before she grabbed the USA’s attention with her shouty speech at the Republican National Convention, top presidential aid Kimberly Guilfoyle was depicted in Oscar-winning movie Bombshell – and was married to Donald Trump’s political party rival.
So what else do you need to know about the model, lawyer, TV host and political campaign adviser?
Where’s she from?
Guilfoyle may spend most of her time on America’s east coast nowadays, but she was born on March 9, 1969, on the west coast, where she was raised by her Irish immigrant father after her Puerto Rico-born mother died when she was young. She studied law at the University of San Francisco.
What’s her work?
Guilfoyle modelled for Victoria’s Secret and Macy’s before she worked as a prosecutor in California.
In 2004 she got a Court TV hosting gig which led to shows on Fox. Her time at the conservative station was depicted in Oscar-winning movie Bombshell, which centres around former chairman Roger Ailes’ sexual misconduct scandal at the network. The film features a Guilfoyle lookalike showcasing her outspoken support for Ailes – much like Guilfoyle did in real life.
She left Fox in 2018 amid sexual harassment allegations brought against herself, and later started working as a senior adviser for Donald Trump.
