Ever since we binge-watched season one of Netflix’s Bling Empire , the question on everybody’s lips is – are Kelly and Andrew back together? After all that ? Bling Empire follows the lives of Los Angeles’ wealthiest Asians and Asian-Americans as they navigate between traditional Eastern values and … well, having lots of money and being in front of a camera for reality TV. Spend it like Bling Empire’s Anna Shay By the first episode, which debuted on January 15, it was evident that the relationship between actor and one of the show’s executive producers, Kelly Mi Li , and Andrew Gray, was the real drama of the show, following a verbally aggressive phone call from him from Paris. In fact, we didn’t think he’d even make it to the end of season one. Yet, here we are. Are they or aren’t they? “We’re working things out,” Kelly told Entertainment Tonight during an interview. “We’re probably in a better place than we’ve ever been in our relationship. Throughout our six years of ups and downs, I think we’re in the best place we’ve ever been, just understanding each other better. Continue to go to therapy, continue to work things out, ‘cause at the end of the day, we know that true love is hard to find and the love we have for each other is unconditional.” Why Christine Chiu is the couture queen to watch in Netflix’s Bling Empire When the show wrapped in January 2020, the couple took a break. “We were separated completely, [had] separate living situations. We broke up, and we took about five months or six months,” she said. Then in June, lockdown loneliness must’ve kicked in, because the pair started spending time together again, and they’ve been together ever since. They’ve been together for ages When Kelly introduces Andrew as her boyfriend during the first episode of Bling Empire , it comes across like it’s a fairly new relationship following the drama of her ex-husband. But they’ve actually been together for six years. I think at the time we were spending, like, US$400,000 a month on our black [American Express card] until one day [when] the government showed up and took everything from us, and my ex-husband was arrested.” By October of 2015, Kelly and Andrew went Instagram official with their relationship, when Andrew posted a picture of them together, captioned: “My #wcw [woman crush Wednesday] goes out to this lil wonton. Not only do you add value to my life but you add value to everything around you. You are remarkable. You are a diamond in the rough.” How RuPaul spends his millions on a life fit for a true queen Kelly says she’s the happiest she’s ever been It’s no secret the world has been shocked by Kelly and Andrew’s volatile relationship on the show, which many have described as “toxic”. But according to her, things have changed, and they’re back on cloud nine. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with him for the six years I’ve known him,” Kelly told America’s Us Weekly during a recent interview. “I have never seen this version of Andrew, and I’m very, very proud and very inspired and inspired to also be a better version of myself.” So after all this time, is a wedding on the cards? Born a crime: 6 struggles Trevor Noah faced growing up “Andrew is very traditional. He believes in the whole marriage thing and the kids thing,” she said. “I want to be a mother, but for me, marriage, I think it’s a piece of paper. I’m not opposed to it. If that’s in our books, then we will.” Andrew knows he didn’t come across well on the show Andrew told ET that he’s made peace with his on-screen debut, because it contributed to the entertainment factor of the reality show and ultimately brought him and Kelly closer together. “I’m not saying it has been easy – it’s been rough,” he admits. ”[But] this has been one of the biggest blessings of my life, because it’s only going to better ours.” Fingers crossed for more love and less violent outbursts in season two, then.
