It’s been a star-studded few weeks in the world of K-pop fashion. Original style icons like G-Dragon and Son Ye-jin are back and reclaiming their thrones, but new faces are emerging with killer ensembles to boot too. Exo’s Kai brings childlike charm to his capsule collection with Gucci, while Hyuna and Dawn show us how to have fun with what we wear. Read on to get inspired.

Fashion kings reign supreme: Kai’s Gucci and G-Dragon’s Chanel

Exo’s dance machine Kai, fondly known as “Human Gucci’’, has launched a capsule collection with the Italian fashion brand. It’s Gucci’s first collection created in tandem with a Korean celebrity.

The Kai x Gucci collection’s motif brings forth nostalgic memories: a brown teddy bear with a little blue tie accompanies the Exo singer throughout the campaign. It’s chic and cute with a vintage classic appeal, and appears consistently throughout the collection as a knitted design on a shirt, a small patch logo or as a monogram on a bag.

Meanwhile, Chanel’s face in Korea, G-Dragon, has uploaded another series of accessory photos on Instagram, displaying his two favourites, no less: Chanel accessories and statement pieces from his very own label, Peaceminusone. He seems to be wearing a blue Chanel tweed jacket and trousers with tons of accessories – a purse necklace, gold chain belt, a boyfriend watch, a cuff with the iconic double C’s and stacks of rings. Also spotted were a Peaceminusone daisy bracelet and a small daisy pouch.

Girls rule: Valentino star Son Ye-jin, Prada’s lovely muses and the Gentle Monster gang

Actress Son Ye-jin recently posted a photo of herself dressed in Valentino: a white cotton shirt, orange skorts and a floral blouson jacket. A previous post, in which she expressed her excitement to witness the brand’s autumn/winter collection, featured the actress wearing Valentino’s signature V logo belt, studded leather mules and a bucket bag.

Meanwhile, Prada muses such as Park Shin-hye, Moon Ga-young, Sandara Park, Lee Hi, Mamamoo’s Hwasa, Girls Day’s Yeri and more took to their Instagram accounts to showcase their spot on autumn/winter looks from the brand.

Last but not least was Gentle Monster’s live event, where the brand introduced its chosen style ambassadors: Blackpink’s Jennie, Mamamoo’s Hwasa, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany and actor Ryu Jun-yeol.
