  • Princess Diana’s niece opulently redecorated her home where she lives with millionaire fiancé Michael Lewis – think crystal chandeliers and baroque furniture
  • The aristocrat makes money through modelling, including partnerships with luxury brands such as Bulgari, Estée Lauder and Dolce & Gabbana

A cousin of UK royals Prince William and Prince Harry, Lady Kitty Spencer lives with her fiancé, Michael Lewis, in his US$26 million mansion in central London.
Spencer, a model who makes her money through her various modelling contracts, as well as partnerships with Bulgari, Estée Lauder and Dolce & Gabbana, is the eldest child of Charles Spencer, ninth Earl Spencer (she is also a niece of Diana, Princess of Wales). The 62-year-old Lewis – who has an estimated net worth of over US$111 million – is the chairman of the Foschini group, a clothing company in South Africa.
So what does the inside of Spencer and Lewis’ home look like – and is it as glamorous as royal residences? More or less, we’d say: the 28-year-old’s Instagram offers plenty of snapshots of the blingy mansion, from the rose-and-crystal bathroom to the gold-heavy lounge.

The big redecoration project

According to the UK’s Evening Standard, Spencer spent a lot of time – and tons of money – redecorating her home during lockdown. She said she didn’t regret spending the money given how much time she had spent indoors because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“I became totally absorbed in the process, from the fabrics to the joinery,” she said in the interview. “I can’t imagine that it’s something I’ll ever regret putting money into. After spending the majority of 2020 at home, I appreciate the space I’ve created now more than ever.”

Spencer’s fans got a glimpse of her lounge when she posted a picture of herself posing on a geometric couch. Clearly visible in the background are ornately printed wallpaper, a gold chandelier and a baroque chair.

In another picture, fans can see gold baroque wallpaper offset by crystal wall-hangings. Spencer is holding a book from a bookshelf, giving a peek into the collection of tomes she and Lewis have amassed.
