  • The Chicago native has hosted the shopping channel’s Clever & Unique Creations show for 20 years, earning her the nickname of ‘QVC Queen’
  • Whoopi Goldberg, Olivia Munn, Jennifer Garner and Kesha are among the celebs to join her candid ‘Bed Talks With Lori’ Instagram Live sessions

Her personal net worth is “just” US$150 million which means she’s far from the richest Shark Tank star, but Lori Greiner’s earned her nickname the “warm-blooded shark” the hard way. Here we chart the 51-year-old’s rise to the top.

How Greiner got rich

From an early age Greiner was taught by her parents to earn a living from her own business rather than be an employee. She and her husband Dan don’t have children of their own, but today she does pay it forward by mentoring young people using the lessons she has learned along the way.

Greiner’s first million dollars came from selling jewellery storage pieces in the 1990s, and after her earrings organiser took off, she went from rich to even richer. The Chicago, Illinois, native has hosted the shopping channel QVC’s Clever & Unique Creations show for 20 years, earning her the nickname of the “QVC Queen”.

Made for the screen

Greiner studied film, TV and journalism at Loyola University Chicago and was even a playwright at one point so her knack for the small screen dovetails with her business skills. She even has her own production company Good Place Entertainment.
