Inside Isha Ambani’s ‘modest’ US$61.2 million diamond-themed Mumbai mansion – a wedding gift from Anand Piramal’s parents
STORYLynn Farah

- Daughter of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, Isha switched the family home Antilia for a Worli beachfront mansion bought by husband Anand Piramal’s parents
- Her brother Akash lives at Antilia with wife Shloka Mehta and baby son Prithvi, as does her unmarried brother Anant
The Ambanis’ 27-storey mansion Antilia is famous for being the most expensive private home in the world, so when Isha Ambani moved out of her family’s Mumbai pad, she wasn’t going to settle for anything less than luxury.
According to India Times, after Isha married Anand Piramal in an extravagant wedding said to coast US$100 million, the couple moved into their marital home in Worli, Mumbai, in December 2018.

Facing the Arabian Sea, the property has prime views of the ocean, making it one of the most sought-after properties in the area. Here’s what you need to know about Isha and Anand’s lush home.
The big move

It might have seemed an unusual step for Isha to move out of the Ambani family home as the 27-storey skyscraper definitely has enough space for the couple, with 400,000 square feet of floor space. Isha’s brother Akash lives there with his wife Shloka Mehta and baby son Prithvi, as does her other brother, the as-yet unmarried “perfect son” Anant.
In an interview with Femina a year after their wedding – that saw the likes of Bill and Hillary Clinton attend as guests and Beyoncé perform – Isha’s mum Nita said she had to adjust to her daughter moving out. She said it was hard when her daughter said she was “going home” when she was leaving after a visit to Antilia. Nita explained that although it was a bittersweet moment, she realised Isha had her own family to nurture.
