Blackpink: The Movie is part of the group’s 4+1 Project, which was designed to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its debut. So far, no – the “4+1” merely signifies the band’s fifth year in the industry. After the teaser dropped on social media, some fans suggested the “4+1” hinted that a new member might be joining the band. One user tweeted: “I had a nightmare about that Blackpink teaser last night revolving around it being a new member.” Are there too many K-pop audition TV shows? Unfortunately for budding K-pop stars, there are no openings and won’t be for the foreseeable future. What’s the movie about? Nope, the girls won’t be playing fictional characters.
