Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, the rugby star

The queen’s eldest granddaughter and the daughter of Princess Anne has been married to Mike Tindall for 10 years, and the pair have three children together. With Zara’s father Mark Phillips being a commoner, she doesn’t have a royal title. However, Mike – who was born in Leeds, England – truly came from humble beginnings, and even worked serving fish and chips out of a van at one point.

The former England rugby union player was also known in the British tabloids for his drink-driving offences in 2000 and 2009 – the latter of which saw him banned from driving for three years after he was pulled over on the way back from an event with Zara.

These days he works on a rugby podcast – where he has discussed Zara giving birth to their third child on the floor of their bathroom at home – and the down-to-earth sportsman also revealed he broke up a brawl in the stands at the Euro 2020 football finals match on July 11.

Princess Beatrice of York met Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2018 and married the British multimillionaire property developer in front of her father Prince Andrew and her grandmother the queen in July 2020. Their nuptials were pushed back from May 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
