Calling all Hong Kong celebrity hounds: Nicole Kidman has landed! ICMYI, the Aussie actress arrived in the city last week to start filming for Amazon Prime Video series Expats.

Plenty of international stars have set foot in Hong Kong over the years, whether to perform at concerts or shoot the next big Hollywood blockbuster. Typically, people would be crowding to get a glimpse of Kidman strolling about town … but due to the ongoing pandemic, social media might be a better bet.

So what has Kidman gotten up to in Hong Kong so far?

Kidman took a private jet from Sydney to Hong Kong, touching down on August 12 – in style, no doubt.

She skipped Hong Kong’s strict quarantine rules

As of now, Australia is considered a medium-risk area for entry into Hong Kong. Those arriving from Down Under have to provide a negative Covid-19 test and confirmation of a room reserved for quarantine to enter the city. For those who are vaccinated, a vaccination record is required as well. But Kidman skipped all of this and was given the special treatment: the Hong Kong government exempted her from quarantine so that she could to start filming for Expats.

She’s reportedly living in a mansion on The Peak
