Online streaming is a booming industry, with brands like Disney+, Apple TV+, Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO Max just some of the big names pushing out series that viewers just can’t get enough of.

With the pressure on to match their competitors, traditional TV and film, it’s only natural that these streaming services have to bring in some of Hollywood’s big hitters to hook viewers. But highly sought-after actors don’t come cheap – in fact, some command a staggering pay packet for each and every episode they feature in.

Known for playing roles like Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation and Peter Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Chris Pratt comes in first on the list. He’s reportedly earning up to US$1.4 million per episode for Amazon Prime’s The Terminal List.

In addition to starring in the series, he is also an executive producer. There has been no announcement of when the show will air, but we can expect to see a rough and rugged Pratt playing James Reece, a navy seal who returns home after a mission has gone awry.
