Influencer boxing has been making waves over the last two years. YouTubers such as Jake Paul , his brother Logan and KSI have all pulled in millions in pay-per-view (PPV) buys, earning as much as the sport’s highest paid performers . Next to make headlines in the ring might be the Emirati rich kid Rashed Belhasa, more commonly known as Money Kicks , who turned 20 on January 5. At a press conference earlier in January, 44-year-old boxing legend (and mad supercar collector ) Floyd Mayweather revealed that he was in talks to fight Money Kicks at an exhibition match in October. With a win record of 50-0, Mayweather retired in 2016 as one of the greatest boxers of his generation. Since then he has continued to participate in exhibition matches, including a bout against Logan Paul last year which earned him US$10 million just for turning up, plus a reported 50 per cent of the pay-per view sales, worth another US$25 million. He only stepped into the ring for the first time six months ago and currently has a record of 2-0. Although his odds of winning don’t look the best, Money Kicks’ rise to celebrity status has been nothing short of incredible. Here’s how he’s earned his claims to online stardom. 1. Rihanna, Ronaldo, Messi and Minaj are just a few of the celebs said to have paid his Dubai mansion a visit As the son of billionaire Saif Ahmed Belhasa – one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in the UAE – Money Kicks has grown up living a lavish life. He currently lives in a sprawling mansion which has become a tourist attraction frequented by many A-list celebrities. The mansion’s grounds apparently boast a full-size football pitch and a private zoo that is home to around 500 exotic animals. Money Kicks has been pictured sitting with his pack of white lions and playing tag with a Bengal tiger cub. The zoo is home to giraffes, cheetahs and chimpanzees as well. Ever since he was a little kid, Money Kicks has been welcoming the likes of Lionel Messi, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Anthony Joshua into his far-from-humble abode. Even Floyd Mayweather visited the young billionaire in the past – perhaps where this plan was hatched. Those who have had that honour include Paris Hilton, Cristiano Ronaldo , Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Jackie Chan. 2. It all started with a mult-million dollar trainer collection Living up to his name, Money Kicks owns a trainer collection which could probably fund another mansion alone. He started gaining popularity on YouTube back in 2016 when he began making videos showing off his trainers to celebrities who visited his house. His video series Sneaker Talk has featured guests including rappers Wiz Khalifa and Travis Scott, and footballer Mesut Ozil. Money Kicks’ collection is made up of highly sought-after pairs of Air Jordans and Yeezys, among other brands. The YouTuber also has a pair of game-worn football cleats which were gifted to him by Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba. Years of collecting have led to his collection growing to over 500 pairs of shoes, according to Cosmopolitan Middle East . Meet Bigboy Cheng, the Philippines’ sneaker king with over 700 shoes 3. He’s got ring-ready bling already If he’s pictured on social media, chances are he’s wearing something designer – Money Kicks has expensive taste and he isn’t afraid to show it. The YouTuber often rocks all-Gucci fits, Louis Vuitton tees and Supreme bags. He had the bling-tastic piece made in the lead-up to his second fight against Dubai-based boxer and influencer, Ajmal Khan. 4. He covers his supercars in luxury brand logos Money Kicks started building up his car collection before he was even old enough to drive. At the age of 16, he had already bought a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a Rolls-Royce Wraith and a Lamborghini Aventador. Rolls-Royces for Diwali? Meet ‘British Bill Gates’ Reuben Singh As if the supercars don’t draw enough attention, Money Kicks loves wrapping his rides in bold prints. His bright red Berlinetta is decked out in the Louis Vuitton monogram and has the Supreme logo printed on the bonnet and two doors. One of his Rolls-Royces has the Dior logo printed all over and his Lamborghini is modelled after a backpack from designer brand Sprayground. Today, Money Kicks owns several different Rolls-Royce models and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class as well. We wonder what the brands think of the free advertising. 5. OK, he’s technically an undefeated boxer – so what are his chances? Back in July 2021, Money Kicks stepped into a professional boxing ring for the first time. He won by unanimous decision against fellow Emirati YouTuber Anas Elshayib. Only three months later, Money Kicks was back for his bout against Ajmal Khan, which he won by knockout. Undoubtedly, a fight against Floyd Mayweather will be his toughest challenge yet – to put it mildly – one which anyone anywhere will surely expect him to lose. Money Kicks himself made a video earlier in January acknowledging Mayweather as one of the greatest boxers of all time. Paul also reportedly stated that he had not been paid for his fight against Mayweather and that Money Kicks should expect no different. But assuming the deal goes through, the Emirati rich kid and Floyd “Money” Mayweather will face off on February 20. Want more stories like this?
