It’s all but expected that A-list celebrities would boast a premium portfolio of properties, high-end fashion items and other enviable assets. In the world of showbiz, pricey possessions have come to represent the ultimate symbols of success. While stars often spend their millions on things like massive estates and exclusive private jets, there are other equally opulent purchases the world’s wealthiest residents make, adding to the over-the-top luxury of their lives. Take RVs, trailers or motorhomes, for example. Some of Hollywood’s most famous faces are known to have bought and customised their own vehicular villas, turning a standard motorhome into a portable palace. Ranked in descending order of expensiveness, the following are six of the most outrageous celebrity motorhomes and trailers, each of which looks more like a five-star hotel on wheels than a spruced up automobile. 12 of Lily Collins’ most stylish looks on Emily in Paris season 2, ranked 1. Will Smith’s The Heat: US$2.5 million At a staggering cost of US$2.5 million, Will Smith’s customised trailer is a double-decker behemoth that spans over 3,900 sq ft of space. According to Outdoorsy and TheRichest, the trailer – affectionately dubbed The Heat – is equipped with lavish amenities including an expansive dining area, steam shower and even a screening space for 30 people with a 100-inch projector screen. The film star’s trailer was custom built by Anderson Mobile Estates and features a fully-equipped kitchen with Italian cherry wood cabinets and arch windows. As the world’s pre-eminent talent show judge and one of the most influential producers on the planet, Cowell tends to prefer the comforts of his 30 tonne motorhome to hotels. Looking inside the amazing vehicle, it’s easy to see why. While the exterior of the 22-wheeler resembles Smith’s, the interiors have been tailored to Cowell’s needs. Outdoorsy reports that the mobile mansion has two bedrooms and bathrooms, one with its own free-standing bathtub. There’s also a marble-floored screening area and bar on the top floor. The aptly named Producer Pad additionally features production spaces for Cowell and his staff and state-of-the-art on board medical facilities that rival those on Air Force One.
