Inside Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s Mumbai mega mansion: the Indian billionaire is splashing his US$6.2 billion net worth on a 14-floor luxury tower, but how does it compare to Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia?

- Billionaire stock investor Jhunjhunwala and his wife Rakhi bought half the block in 2013 and the other half in 2017 – now work on their personalised mansion is well under way
- The home will include a banquet hall, swimming pool, gym, home theatre, pizza counter, veggie garden, massage room and sauna … but what, no snow room?

1. It took two purchases to secure all 14 floors

According to GQ India, the property was initially a 14-storey block of flats which was purchased in two phases by 61-year-old Jhunjhunwala and his wife Rakhi. In 2013, they bought seven floors, and in 2017 they snapped up the remaining seven. Work has been ongoing ever since as the property is likely to encompass every luxury the family could want.
Times Now reported on the plans submitted to the authorities that detailed how each floor of the massive bungalow would be divided between the businessman and his family.
2. How many bedrooms is that?

The master bedroom is on the 12th floor and has been designed to have a bedroom area, separate bathroom, dressing room and living room. This is where Rakesh and his wife Rakhi will sleep. GQ India reports this floor also has a balcony, pantry and salon, along with smaller bathrooms for staff.
The 11th floor is earmarked for the children’s rooms. There are two bedrooms in this space, both of which have a terrace and a balcony, according to Times Now. Guests have also been included in the planning, with the fourth floor set aside for the guest bedroom. This will also have an L-shaped kitchen.
The first, second and third floors will be a combination of bedrooms and storage areas.
