  • Park’s earlier credits include Sweet Revenge, Bride of the Century and Horror Stories 3 – he even learned Mandarin for the Chinse drama adaptation of webtoon Lookism
  • His Gangnam school produced K-pop stars Twice’s Nayeon, SF9’s Zuho and Kwon Hyun-bin, while his acting coach Ahn Hyuk-mo also worked with Girls’ Generation and Siwon

After its huge success with Korean content in 2021, Netflix is ramping up to deliver more K-goodies this year. First up is the much-anticipated zombie outbreak series All of Us Are Dead, set for release on January 28. Set in a high school and adapted from the 29-part webtoon Now At Our School, the eight-part series will also present a slew of young and up-and-coming actors, including the charming Park Solomon who will be playing Lee Soo-hyuk. So, what do we know about this newcomer to international screens and will he become a global name in 2022?

1. He didn’t come from nowhere

You might not know him yet, but Solomon is no stranger to the screen. The 22-year-old made his debut in two 2014 K-dramas, Bride of the Century and 4 Legendary Witches. After several other roles, he caught fans’ attention playing Ji-hoon in the high school drama Sweet Revenge (2017) opposite Kim Hyang-gi and Ji Gun-woo. Solomon also appeared in the final part of the trilogy Horror Stories 3 (2016).

2. He is swoon-worthy and super athletic

It’s not hard to guess why Solomon was cast in a post-apocalyptic Netflix show. Apart from his chiselled good looks, the young star also takes care of his physique. With over 237,000 followers on Instagram (at the time of writing), the 1.83-metre Solomon often shares workout regimens that range from swimming to weightlifting at the gym.

The playful actor also likes to post #throwback pictures of his childhood. In 2020, he shared an adorable picture of a young Solomon on his birthday, and another picture of him in a uniform, writing, “I was once a baby … now an adult #responsibility”.

3. He even starred in a Chinese drama
