The latter’s son, Harry James Thornton, has even seen the similarities all these years later.
“Ah, they’re copycats!” he told the Page Six website, referring to Fox and the rapper – real name Colson Baker – echoing his father and former stepmother’s fiery romance.
Still, the younger Thornton is “amused” by the way the “copycats” are “paying homage” to the originals.
“He’s set trends,” Thornton adds of his A-list father. “I think that’s awesome. I can appreciate that.”

1. An “intense connection” after meeting on set
Jolie, then in her twenties, and Thornton, in his forties, met on the set of the 1999 film Pushing Tin, where the actors were said to have felt an “instant connection”.
It was real enough for the couple to elope and wed in Las Vegas the following year, despite the fact that Thornton was still engaged to Laura Dern at the time.
Sound familiar? Fox, 35, and Baker, 31, met on the set of a film, Midnight in the Switchgrass, in 2020. At that time, Fox was still married to her husband of 10 years, Brian Austin Green, although Green told US Weekly that they’ve been separated since 2019.
Fox and Baker would later talk about the strong connection they immediately felt for each other, often using the terms “twin flame” and “soul mates”.
