Kanye West, or Ye, seemingly blamed Kim Kardashian’s publicist Tracy Romulus for causing some of the drama in their child custody and divorce battle in a recent Instagram post.
“Tracy Romulus, stop manipulating Kim to be this way,” he said, after Kardashian blasted him on social media for publicly criticising her decision to let their eight-year-old daughter North West use TikTok.
But how did Romulus – who was born in a refugee camp in Indonesia after her mother fled Vietnam, then moved to the US when she was six months old – get tangled up in this billionaire’s divorce drama?
1. She’s no stranger to reality TV star spats
Before the Kardashians reached the height of their fame, Kelly Cutrone’s fashion PR company People’s Revolution was the subject of The Hills spin-off series, The City. Romulus used to work as Cutrone’s assistant before launching her own company Industry PR in 2006, the year she also met Kim.
Romulus – who has since appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians – and that business-minded family have a lot in common, it seems, as she also released a children’s fashion line named Rhyla in 2014.
