Jai Anmol Ambani and Khrisha Shah are officially married! Days of pre-wedding celebrations were followed by extravagant nuptials at his parents Anil and Tina Ambani’s luxury home in Mumbai. The happy couple got hitched on February 20 and a week later mum Tina shared intimate images of the family celebrating their love.

A family welcoming
The groom’s mum, Tina, publicly welcomed her new daughter-in-law to the family through her Instagram account. She is officially a saasu maa (mother-in-law) and said she was overjoyed that Khrisha had entered their home, bringing a new energy to the family.
Jai Anmol is a director at Reliance Capital, the family business, while Khrisha is the CEO and co-founder of Dysco, a social networking website.
The ceremonies
After officially welcoming her new daughter-in-law to the family, Tina posted a number of images showing the different ceremonies the family took part in as part of the wedding celebrations.
She first showed how the family were praying and captioned another picture: “An auspicious beginning – Mandva Mahurat.” This is part of an Indian wedding tradition to receive wedding blessings a day before the wedding.

The mehendi ceremony is traditionally held a day before the wedding day and aimed at beautifying the bride and groom with delicate henna designs. Images of the colourful and fun ceremony were posted by Tina and other guests.
Tina also posted pictures from the haldi, another ceremony held before the wedding. It is a cleansing tradition where turmeric is used to cover the face. The mustard hue is believed to bring prosperity to the couple and represents a cleansing ahead of their life together. After the ceremony the couple are meant to stay inside until their wedding to prevent evil spirits.
Pictures of Jai Anmol’s baraat, the groom’s wedding procession, were also shared on social media by the wedding photographers, Sam & Ekta. The groomsmen were wearing custom T-shirts with the slogan, “No sheep in my circle”.
Another image showed Tina appearing to give a dance performance with her sisters at the baraat. Other images showed the bride watching the baraat on a live-stream.

The outfits
On the wedding day, images of the bride and groom getting ready were shared, with Khrisha looking spectacular ahead of her bridal entry. According to the Bollywoodshaadis website, Khrisha’s red and golden-hued lehenga was designed by Anamika Khanna.
The outfit had floral patterns and a scalloped hemline. She also wore a diamond and emerald neckpiece. Celebrity sari draper Dolly Jain draped the bride on her big day and later posted a picture of herself with the newest member of the Ambani family.
