When the Marvel Cinematic Universe called, Park Seo-joon couldn’t believe it, he recently revealed to The Guardian. After the impressive lead in Netflix hit Itaewon Class and a cameo in Oscar-winning Parasite, he will raise his local fame to global level by joining Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels, alongside Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Zawe Ashton.

He is the third Korean actor to join the MCU after Claudia Kim and Ma Dong-seok.

Park’s good looks and talent transform his romantic drama characters into modern day princes with thrilling chemistry with his co-stars. That much was clear from his first lead role in Witch’s Love (2014), just three years after his acting debut, where he played the sweet and lovable Yoon Dong-ha in love with a woman 14 years older than him.

He continued stealing the hearts of audiences as the cool but warm-hearted Ji Sung-joon, a magazine editor in She Was Pretty (2015), “flowering knight” Moo-myung/Kim Sun-woo in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016) and the strong but loving taekwondo player in Fight for My Way (2017).
