While we eagerly await series two, fans of Bling Empire may be wondering what the cast has been up to since we last saw them. The Netflix show exposed the over-the-top lives and personal drama of a group of wealthy Asian and Asian-American friends living in Los Angeles, and we got to see how the likes of Christine Chiu and Anna Shay spend big on last minute holidays, clothes and lavish parties. Here’s what we can expect from the cast in the upcoming instalment, and what each of them have been up to since the pandemic began. 1. Christine Chiu As eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed the first time around, Chiu is in fact one of the show’s producers. And it seems the couture lover has been busy going to even more exclusive parties since we last saw her – including one attended by socialite Kathy Hilton and Emily in Paris’ Ashley Park. Based on her Instagram posts, her style hasn’t faltered either. She continues to run the business she co-founded, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, and to go on date nights with husband Dr Gabriel Chiu. You’ll also see glimpses of her life as a mum to Baby G in some of her Instagram Stories and she even did a stint on Dancing with the Stars . 5 things to know about Thai billionaire Nualphan Lamsam View this post on Instagram A post shared by Christine Alexandra Chiu (@christinechiu) In an interview with E! News Online, Chiu mentioned that, so far, the second season of Bling Empire hasn’t been what she expected, describing it as the “upside down” version of the first. The first half was filmed during the height of the pandemic, she told E!, so unlike in series one, there hasn’t been much opportunity for impromptu jet-setting. She also admits that the cast members have a lot of beef with each other and that filming was “not always fun” this time around. Juicy! 2. Around that time, WWD reported that the former model was taking his first ever trip to Paris with none other than Chiu. According to WWD , Chiu was relishing the chance to play tour guide to Kreider as they attended haute couture week in the French capital. “I’m showing him Paris my way,” Chiu explained. “I’m taking him to some of the shows, dressing him, showing him the fittings process, and all things Paris, just taking it all in.” The pair were still filming Bling Empire while there, and Chiu hinted to WWD at the time that she also had a surprise in store for Kreider, hinting mischievously: “Let’s just say there’s a lot more to France than just Paris.” 4. Chèrie Chan, on the other hand, has kept things low key despite walking a few red carpets (including one or two with her adorable daughter Jadore), but confirmed that her family won’t be returning for the second instalment. Meanwhile, entrepreneur and producer Kelly Mi Li has been advocating a lot for women’s equality and self improvement online, particularly during this year’s International Women’s Day, as well as occasionally reuniting with Bling co-stars.
