10 secret celebrity weddings: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker just had a surprise Las Vegas ceremony – Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, went exclusive and intimate too
Perhaps Kourtney just wanted something different from her sisters as, understandably, not everyone wants a media-fuelled wedding.
So which other superstar celebrities, besides Kardashian and Barker, tied the knot in secret?
1. Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Dubbed “the most exclusive wedding of all time” by E! News with only 40 guests in attendance and a strict no-phones policy, the couple tied the knot on the seventh floor of a 13,500 sq ft penthouse in Tribeca, New York. Few blurry or black-and-white photos exist online, but it’s enough to showcase how gorgeous Beyoncé looked in her Ms Tina-designed dress.

2. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
The adorable duo took extra steps to ensure that their 2019 Provenance ceremony remained a secret – especially since it was after the series finale of Turner’s show had aired and paparazzi were in full swing. And, well, the photos speak for themselves – it was a fairy tale wedding far from the outside world.
3. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
While we couldn’t imagine Reynolds with anyone other than the Gossip Girl queen bee herself, do you remember his brief marriage with Scarlett Johansson? Well, that was very secret too.
Two years after his divorce from the Black Widow actress, before anyone even knew they were dating, let alone engaged, he married Blake Lively, with whom he now shares three children. Safe to say, he likes to keep his romantic life very low-key.

4. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
Guests who were invited to the couple’s uber-private wedding reportedly got a notification on the location only 24 hours before the event.
The That ‘70s Show alums married on the fourth of July in 2015, with Kutcher telling Ellen DeGeneres that it was a “ninja effort” to avoid press and helicopters and keep it as “under the radar” as possible.
5. Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady
The Brazilian supermodel and NFL quarterback apparently organised their “I do” moment in just 10 days, in a tiny ceremony in Santa Monica back in 2009.
It was so hush-hush that the couple only revealed the first public images of their wedding nine years later on their social media accounts, where one can’t help but coo at how endearing the lovebirds are, then and now. Oh, and drop dead gorgeous, but that goes without saying.

6. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Once Hollywood’s most famous supercouple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt found love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005, waiting long enough before their intimate wedding in 2014, attended by only the closest family members with their six children playing key roles in the ceremony.
7. Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez
Fewer than 20 guests attended the private ceremony held in Montecito, California, and it’s safe to say that Grande looked absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang Haute wedding dress.

8. Cardi B and Offset
Speaking of homes, Cardi B and Offset took the idea to a whole new level when they got married in their bedroom in 2017 – with only one guest, the bride’s cousin, present.
There was “no dress, no make up and no ring”, Cardi B has been widely quoted as saying. Now that’s modest.
9. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin
The young starlets legally tied the knot in New York without telling anyone in September 2018 first, then hosted a top-secret star-studded wedding in South Carolina a year later.
Not much was revealed about the ceremony, which included guests like the Kardashian-Jenners, including Kylie and Kendall, but there was apparently a pyjama party and screening of The Notebook during the event, per The Daily Beast.
10. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
The How I Met Your Mother stars wed in a quiet family affair at a castle in Perugia, Italy, in 2014.
Harris tweeted about the event, saying, “Yup, we put the ‘h’ and ‘d’ in husband.”
