The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, the saying goes – so perhaps it’s not surprising when siblings get famous in the showbiz world. We take a look at 11 of the most famous and successful sets of sisters in the world – from some of the best athletes on the planet, to huge acting talents and sought after fashion models. Their parents must be so proud! 1. Beyoncé and Solange It’s hard to believe that this much talent came from one family. Beyoncé and her younger sister Solange really need no introduction, as both are award-winning musical artists. While the two have never officially collaborated on a duet, they are frequently supportive of each other. Beyoncé and Solange also appeared in each other’s Coachella sets back in 2014 and 2018. 2. Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian The three oldest Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney, all became famous together, and are still letting us watch their sisterly dramas play out after more than a decade. The luxury lives of Kourtney Kardashian’s children When Keeping Up with the Kardashians first aired back in 2007, only Kim was relatively known. But the show’s success was built on the hilarious, heart-warming and authentic sisterly bond that Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and the rest of the family had – and still have. Though they still fight and seem to put up with more drama than any normal person might be able to handle, at the end of the day, it’s all love: “Most people see [their families] on holidays. We see each other every single day because it’s part of our job. I love that. I really do,” Khloé told Harper’s Bazaar in a 2016 interview. 3. Kendall and Kylie Jenner But let’s not forget that the Kardashians’ little sisters Kendall and Kylie are a dynamic duo in their own right, too. Kendall and Kylie were both little kids when we first met them on KUWTK, but we’ve watched them grow into full-blown adults, with thriving careers and even babies of their own! Over the years, Kendall and Kylie have collaborated on clothing lines, a novel and a recent collection for Kylie Cosmetics, among other things. 4. Gigi and Bella Hadid The world got their first taste of the Hadid sisters (and their brother, Anwar) during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , which their mother Yolanda appeared in for four years. Both have graced the Victoria’s Secret runway , appeared on dozens of magazine covers and in countless ad campaigns. But in the cutthroat world of modelling, the two have always counted on each other. “I feel very lucky to be able to have a piece of home in my work environment. We are each other’s biggest fans,” Gigi told Serena Williams in an interview for V Magazine in 2018. 5 times Will Smith lost his cool and got in trouble 5. Kate and Pippa Middleton It can’t be easy when your sister becomes royalty and thrusts her entire family into the spotlight, but Pippa has always been supportive of her sister Kate. “We’re very close and we support each other and get each other’s opinions,” Pippa told NBC in 2014. Their most famous sisterly moment was of course when Pippa walked behind her sister and held her enormous wedding dress train as she walked down the aisle to wed Prince William. 6. Mary-Kate, Ashley and Elizabeth Olsen The world was introduced to Mary-Kate and Ashley on Full House in the 80s, and we haven’t stopped being fascinated with the twins since then. They’ve built a media and fashion empire for themselves, starring in several direct-to-video films, as well as launching a book series, perfume, clothing … the list goes on. And speaking of Elizabeth, she’s grown into a highly acclaimed actress, having been nominated for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her work on WandaVision. 7. Paris and Nicky Hilton The two hotel heiresses have always been close, evidenced by Paris being maid of honour at Nicky’s wedding in 2015. “My sister and I are best friends. We’re closer than most sisters. She’s the only one I want to really know me,” Paris was quoted as saying in an interview. “I don’t trust any of these other girls, especially in LA. They don’t want what is best for me like Nicky does. They get jealous of my success. My sister is the only one who’s proud of me.” At Paris’ 2021 wedding , Nicky returned the favour as matron of honour. 8. Dakota and Elle Fanning Both Fanning sisters started their careers as children, with Dakota starring in War of the Worlds and I am Sam , among others. Elle played a younger version of Dakota’s character in I am Sam, and went on to star in films such as Babel and television series The Great as an adult. The two are set to co-star in a film based on World War II epic of the same name, The Nightingale, which is the first time they’ll work together as adults – and they play sisters. Not just Jada Pinkett Smith – 10 celebrities who suffer from alopecia 9. Venus and Serena Williams These two are some of the most highly decorated tennis players in the history of the sport, and due to their inherent talent, frequently compete against each other. They don’t let that strain their bond, though. “She’s the toughest player I ever played in my life, and the best person I know,” Serena told ESPN in an on-court interview in 2015. “So it’s going against your best friend and going against, for me, the greatest competitor in women’s tennis.” Their childhood bond was recently immortalised in the 2021 biopic King Richard , following the tragic death of their sister, Yetunde Price . 10. Kate and Rooney Mara The Mara sisters have both proven they have impeccable taste in picking acting projects – between them, these include House of Cards, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network and Pose – but they’ve worked together only once, as children in a community production of The Wizard of Oz. “From the time I was 14 ‘til, I think, my sister started acting when I was 20, 21, I didn’t have someone to share this craziness with. So when she [Rooney] became an actor, we actually lived together in my apartment for the first year or two,” Kate told ABC News in 2017. “We would both go on auditions and come home and talk about the terror of certain auditions and funny stories and so it just became something super special that you can actually bond with a sibling with, which is very rare.” The 10 most shocking Oscars moments ever, from Will Smith to Angelina Jolie 11. Malia and Sasha Obama Malia and Sasha were both little kids when their father Barack was elected in 2008, and since then, we’ve watched them grow up before our eyes. The two gave their first public interview in their mother’s 2020 documentary, Becoming . This article originally appeared on Insider Want more stories like this?
