The daughter of late model Anna Nicole Smith is all grown up.
Dannielynn Birkhead took sartorial inspiration from Janet Jackson at the 33rd annual Barnstable Kentucky Derby Eve Gala by donning an ensemble consisting of a black pantsuit, oversized belt and newsboy cap – the exact outfit that the pop sensation wore to the same event in 2003.
“It was bought as part of Janet’s @juliens_auctions benefiting charity,” Dannielynn’s father, Larry Birkhead, wrote in an Instagram post.
According to Page Six, the Birkheads are regular fixtures at the Kentucky Derby, the same event where Anna and Larry met.
So, who is Dannielynn and how did she get here today?
Her mum was a pop culture figure
Born Vickie Lynn Hogan, Anna first worked at Red Lobster, Walmart and a fried chicken restaurant before turning to stripping in a club in Houston. There, she met the late J. Howard Marshall, the oil tycoon who would propel her career to the mainstream. Anna graced the cover of Playboy, modelled for Guess and acted in Naked Gun 33 & a Third.
At the height of her popularity, Anna, then 26, married Marshall, aged 89, in 1994. According to CNN, Marshall died after barely a year of marriage and did not name Anna in his will. So, she embarked on a legal quest to get a slice of Marshall’s multimillion-dollar estate. The case would last for a decade and even reached the US Supreme Court.
