Whether it’s their extravagant lifestyles or enthralling histories, royal families have been intriguing the public for centuries. And even though the British royals seem to get a hefty share of global media attention, there are indeed a number of other European aristocrats that are equally fascinating and glamorous. Take Prince Achileas-Andreas for example. The handsome 21-year-old is descended from a notably illustrious lineage and – as can be seen from his Instagram alone – the dapper young noble lives quite a privileged life. So what do we know about Prince Achileas-Andreas? Let’s take a look. 1. He’s a member of two royal lineages Prince Achileas-Andreas is part of two royal lineages, namely the former Greek royal family and their Danish counterpart. The prince’s official title is His Royal Highness Prince Achileas-Andreas of Greece and Denmark. This is because his father, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, is himself a member of both royal families. Pavlos’ parents are Constantine II of Greece and Anne-Marie of Denmark . Achileas’ grandfather, Constantine II, was the former and final King of Greece before the monarchy was abolished in 1973. 2. He would be third in line to the former Greek throne Prince Achileas is one of five children born to Crown Prince Pavlos and his wife, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal. His older brother, Prince Constantine Alexios, would be second in line to the now defunct Greek royal throne. Their dad Prince Pavlos would have been first with Achileas being third in line to inherit the position of Greek monarch. 3. His mother’s side of the family is equally impressive Born in London and raised in Hong Kong, the prince’s mum, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal , hails from a notable background too. She’s the daughter of Hong Kong-based billionaire Robert Warren Miller, the successful entrepreneur who co-founded DFS (Duty Free Shops). Princess Marie-Chantal has herself enjoyed a remarkable life spent hobnobbing with some of the world’s most iconic artists and socialites, like Keith Haring, Karl Lagerfeld and Andy Warhol. In addition to Princess Marie-Chantal, Miller’s other two daughters (the prince’s aunts) were raised in Hong Kong together and also married into renowned and moneyed families; Pia got married to Christopher R. Getty from the famous American Getty family and Prince Achileas’ other aunt, Alexandra, married Prince Alexander von Fürstenberg . They divorced in 2002. 4. He’s done some acting The good-looking Greek royal has also dabbled in showbiz. In 2017 the prince made his acting debut, starring in a few episodes of the long-standing popular soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful . He’s a true citizen of the world Perusing the prince’s Instagram feed, one immediately encounters images of a young man enjoying a host of international adventures – which is hardly surprising for a European royal. Besides his enviable travels, however, the Greek prince’s personal history makes him a true global citizen. Though he’s a member of both the Greek and Danish royal houses, he was actually born in New York City, but later moved with his family to England where he attended school.
