Model and actress Cara Delevingne, darling of the fashion world and Hollywood in the early 2010s – is back making headlines, but not for the best reasons.

This follows after her recent behaviour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), which has been described as “disconcerting” and “puzzling”, as she lurked a little too much around Megan Thee Stallion at the event.

Photos and video clips showed Delevingne seemingly “fan-girling” – or rather, “trolling” – Megan Thee Stallion in multiple instances: when she got ahold of Megan’s train dress and swept it up in the air for added flair, as Megan was taking Billboard red carpet photos; when she interjected in a conversation between Megan and Doja Cat; and when she ludicrously ran her hand down Megan’s train dress as the singer stood up to receive her Top Rap Female Artist award.

Netizens viewed her actions as disrespectful of Megan’s personal space and thought the model was stealing the spotlight from the singer. Some have also insinuated that Delevingne was “fetishising black women”, as per Buzzfeed News, as past videos – including one taken at the recent Met Gala after-party, in which the model danced too closely next to Megan and leaned in to try to kiss her – have resurfaced, showing similar odd behaviour from the model.

While Delevingne is known to be weird and wild – and was once loved for it – has she perhaps taken it too far this time? Below, we look back at a few more times the model shocked the world with her out-of-the-ordinary antics.

Her internet-famous purchase – a sex bench

In 2019, Delevingne and former partner Ashley Benson were photographed carrying a newly bought sex bench into their home. Jezebel identified the object as likely “the Master Series Obedience Extreme Sex Bench with Restraint Straps”, which costs about US$380.
