Ever since Shiloh Jolie-Pitt showed off her brand new look on the red carpet at The Eternals international premieres, the 16-year-old teen has been keeping a low profile, focusing mainly on her dance classes. But that hasn’t stopped rumours of a mother-daughter feud emerging in the tabloids.

Despite ongoing whispers of tension between Shiloh and her mum Angelina, the pair have continued to put on a united front and have even been spending quality time in Italy together.

Here’s why we’re happy to see them all smiles again.

The pesky rumour mill

According to a report from Celebrity Insider, a source claimed that Shiloh has been rebelling against her mother and that the two reportedly engage “in verbal duels” with one another.

The source said much of Shiloh’s anger towards her 47-year-old mother was because her older brothers are allowed to do things that she’s not.

“Maddox and Pax (her older brothers) were allowed to drive and walk alone when they were her age. Shiloh is resisting,” the source said. “She says she’s going to go to college as far away from her (mum) as possible!”

Well, clearly those were just rumours, because the mother and daughter duo have remained inseparable during their time together in Europe.

Why Shiloh went to Italy with Angelina

Not only has Shiloh not run “as far away as possible” from her mother, but she actually decided to accompany her to Italy along with some of her siblings where Angelina is directing new war film, Without Blood, starring Salma Hayek.

The film, which is written, directed and produced by Angelina, started filming in June and takes place in Puglia, Basilicata and Rome. It is based on a book by Alessandro Baricco and centres around a girl who was left for dead in an Italian farmhouse.

“I am honoured to be in Italy and to bring such a particular story to the big screen”, said Angelina in a statement. “I thank Alessandro Baricco for entrusting me with the film adaptation of his book, a work full of poetry and emotion, which looks to the war and the questions that arise from it from a unique point of view, asking ourselves what we are looking for after suffering a trauma, a loss or an injustice,” she added.

Concert buddies

Here’s one place we didn’t expect to see Shiloh and Angelina – at a rock concert in Rome!

The A-list pair were among the more than 70,000 fans who attended Italian glam rock band Måneskin’s concert at the city’s historic Circus Maximus venue.

Shiloh and Ange both wore black as they danced along to the music of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest winners in the VIP area. Now that’s what you call a “cool mum”.

What does a “cool mum” do when she’s not taking her teen daughter to a trendy rock gig? She takes her shopping, of course.

Taking a break from her on-set duties, Angelina was spotted with daughter Shiloh at shops in the Italian capital on July 5. Wearing black overall shorts over a black T-shirt paired with red and white trainers, Shiloh stuck to the signature “tomboy street style” that fans have come to expect from her.

A few days prior, the pair were also spotted shopping at a public market, where they were joined by younger sister Vivienne.

Of course, as we know, the ongoing custody battle between Angelina and Brad Pitt over Shiloh and her siblings is one of the longest and most dramatic sagas in showbiz, and there has been much speculation about his relationship with the kids.

So when the actor also landed in Italy on July 11, the internet immediately started buzzing. Wearing a brown T-shirt, cream-coloured hat and carrying a guitar, Brad looked effortlessly cool as he made his way through the airport.

The occasion? Well, nobody is quite sure, but his trip coincided with twins Vivienne and Knox’s 14th birthday, which took place on July 12.

A big, happy Italian reunion between Brad, Shiloh and the rest of the brood? We could only hope so.
