Ha is getting much love and attention for her character on Netflix, but she’s also starred in Hospital Playlist and She Would Never Know before the legal drama

She wears Korean brands like Grove and Couronne, and posts pics of animals on her Instagram – and is set to star in webtoon-based drama See You in My 19th Life

Since Extraordinary Attorney Woo came out on Netflix in late July, fans have quickly gone crazy for the stars in the show.

In particular, rookie actress Ha Yoon-kyoung, 29, has been receiving a lot of love and praise for her portrayal of Choi Soo-yeon in the legal drama series.

She plays a strong-willed character who’s firm in her beliefs and always stands in defence of the protagonist Woo Young-woo (played by Park Eun-Bin), who is autistic. She also stars alongside Kang Tae-oh, who plays Lee Jun-ho, Woo’s love interest.

Choi’s kindness even earns her the nickname “Spring Sunshine Choi Soo-yeon” in the series and it’s likewise a fitting description for the actress herself, who’s also bright and cheery!

Ha’s reliable acting skills has had her cast in several supporting roles in top K-dramas, including Hospital Playlist in 2020-2021, where she played a neurosurgery fellow and became part of an unexpected couple; She Would Never Know in 2021, where she was a doting mother, supportive sister and understanding wife; and currently, in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, where she plays a rookie lawyer.

Her character in the drama, Choi Soo-yeon, has captured the hearts of viewers because of how she protects Woo as the latter struggles with everyday activities and social interactions because of her autism.
