Why was it bought for Anant?

So why is Anant the reported lucky recipient? It could be an engagement gift – Mukesh’s youngest is now engaged to Radhika Merchant. Or a promotion present? The 27-year-old was recently named head of Reliance’s new energy business.

Mukesh made the announcement at Reliance’s annual shareholders meeting at the end of August, where he laid out details of his succession plan. According to NDTV, the buyers asked to remain anonymous and the transaction was listed as “private”. In his speech to shareholders, Mukesh said Anant had approached his new role with “great zeal”, adding that his son was spending much of his time in India’s Jamnagar city where the company owns several oil refineries.
Inside the sprawling villa

The beachside mansion is on the northern part of the iconic palm-shaped archipelago, and boasts enough facilities that the new inhabitants might never have to leave – including a private spa and indoor and both outdoor pools, according to Architectural Digest.
The home’s 33,000 square feet is sprawled over two storeys, complete with a bar, salon and wine seller. According to Mashable, the home also boasts Italian furnishings and several hand crafted masterpieces.

The stylish, minimalist exterior is pure white, with floor to ceiling windows that allow its residents to admire the views of the pool and beach beyond.
