Venice Film Festival 2022’s most glam high jewellery looks: Olivia Wilde and Jodie Turner-Smith rocked Gucci, Penélope Cruz dazzled in Chanel and Julianne Moore chose Cartier

While the event once again set a high watermark for luxury fashion, we’ve noticed a shrinking amount of conspicuous bling. However, there were still some dazzling stand-outs. As the festival draws to a close, we take a look at some of the most head-turning high jewellery looks on this red carpet.

Laura Dern showed up for the premiere of The Son wearing a Bulgari bracelet watch and rings.

Julianne Moore served as president of the Venezia 79 International Jury, and brought some sparkle to all those serious awards debates in a striking diamond drop necklace and earrings from Cartier’s Sixième Sens High Jewellery collection.
4. Olivia Wilde

Dressed in a glittery yellow chiffon, deep V-neck gown, and overlaid with rays of crystal, Olivia Wilde added some additional sparkle with an array of diamond jewellery from Gucci’s Hortus Deliciarum collection. The set includes a statesmen-making necklace, earrings, bracelet and multi-finger ring in white gold and diamonds.

When attending the screening of The Son, Vanessa Kirby, who portrayed Princess Margaret in The Crown looked regal in a pair of Cartier High Jewellery earrings, set with 18k white gold, rock crystal and diamonds. She added more understated charm with the Cartier Collection Maillon Panthère ring and a Cartier Collection ring from 2012, both in white gold and diamonds.

An ever-iconoclastic style icon, Tilda Swinton showed up in a typically cool look – her dramatic neon yellow hair clashing deliriously with a lilac Haider Ackermann gown, the whole get-up completed with some delightfully off-key, whimsical jewellery.

9. Benedetta Porcaroli

Benedetta Porcaroli wore a Pomellato Catene cuff bracelet featuring 1,186 handset brown diamonds, plus Iconica diamond earrings and a white-diamond Catene ring.
10. Marisa Tomei

When attending the out-of-competition screening of Don’t Worry Darling, American actress Marisa Tomei lit up the red carpet in a Bulgari Serpenti High Jewellery bracelet in white gold, with two brilliant-cut pear diamonds and pavé-set diamonds that weigh 49.46 carats. The emerald ring is set with a 5.048 carat octagonal Colombian emerald and 50 fancy shape-step cut diamonds totalling 1.63 carats.

Meanwhile, announcing herself at the same Don’t Worry Darling premiere, American actress Florence Pugh chose a classic diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.

Jodie Turner-Smith arrived at the in-competition screening of The Whale in some swoon-worthy Gucci high jewellery.

Italian actress Alice Pagani opted for the Serpenti high jewellery necklace from Bulgari, when walking the carpet at the premiere of Bones & All.

Arriving at the opening screening of black comedy White Noise, Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana accessorised her look with a striking brooch from Hong Kong jeweller Elsa Jin.
