Months after his highly publicised defamation trial concluded in a win, Johnny Depp is once again making headlines.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is reportedly dating lawyer Joelle Rich from his UK legal team that represented him in his libel lawsuits against British tabloid The Sun in 2020, per People. (His fans were shipping him with the wrong lawyer, apparently.)

So who is this 37-year-old London-based lawyer who’s become Depp’s new love interest, after Amber Heard?

She’s a well-educated lawyer from Britain

According to her LinkedIn profile, Rich attended North London Collegiate School and the University of Birmingham. In 2006, she also entered BPP Law School to enrol in a legal practice course and attain electives in media and entertainment, among others, per Fox Bangor.

Rich served as a lawyer at DLA Piper – a global law firm – before joining Schillings. The British lawyer has since become a partner at Schillings, which prides itself as a privacy and reputations expert consultancy group.
