Son Ye-jin has enjoyed her time in the K-drama spotlight, but also made plenty of friends along the way – her closest pals make up the ‘Cinderella Seven’ or ‘Seven Sisters’

K-biz’s next superstar wedding is coming – and it’s thanks to Son Ye-jin! After catching the bridal bouquet at BinJin’s wedding in March, actress Gong Hyo-jin is set to be an October bride. She revealed that she’s getting married in a private ceremony this month, per Soompi. That makes her the last member of Cinderella Seven, or Seven Sisters, to get hitched.

For those not in the know, that refers to the Crash Landing on You’s inner circle. Son seems to easily attract and connect with fellow veteran actresses of around the same age – 40. The seven actresses all entered the industry at around the same time during the early 2000s and have thus been besties for years.

“We cook, we talk and we play board games. Now that we’re ageing, we can’t even drink past midnight because we get tired. We never hang out past midnight,” Son shared with Section TV, explaining the reason for the group’s name, Cinderella Seven.

Gong, 42, transitioned from being a model to the “queen of romcom”, thanks to popular series like Pasta (2010), The Greatest Love (2011), Master’s Son (2013) and When the Camellia Blooms (2019).

Son’s long-time friend appears at many of her private parties like birthdays and was at her wedding, of course. Gong was also inspired by Son to continue pursuing her acting career.
