Fame and celebrity

  • Beyoncé broke a four-year live hiatus to perform at the launch of the Atlantic The Royal hotel in Dubai – A-listers Kendall Jenner, Rebel Wilson, Halle Bailey and Huda Kattan flew in for the show
  • The Renaissance singer stole the spotlight with her Atelier Zuhra dress complemented with Lorraine Schwartz gems and Manolo Blahnik shoes, and paired D&G with Messika earrings

It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since Beyoncé last performed a concert. And it sure raised a few eyebrows when the world’s most private superstar broke her stage silence with a one-off, invite-only concert … to launch Dubai’s newest “six-star” bling-fest, Atlantis The Royal. Hot on the heels of last year’s most collectively acclaimed album – Renaissance topped a whopping 19 year-end rankings – the appearance was loaded with significance, and the internet was quick to jump on every hand gesture and style choice in a hunt for meaning.

The January 21 appearance marked Queen Bey’s first full show since her appearance alongside billionaire hubby a the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa, in December 2018, and naturally the star-studded invite-only event was a fashionable affair, with Queen Bey donning a variety of designers. Not to mentioned the stylish A-list guests in attendance.
