There have been plenty of successful biopics around Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston and Marilyn Monroe – now, a new film will centre around Kate Moss, played by The Serpent’s Ellie Bamber

The plot focuses on Moss’ unlikely relationship with Lucian Freud, the grandson of psychologist Sigmund Freud and a famous British artist who rarely painted celebrities, with the exception of Moss

Celebrity biopics are undoubtedly on trend right now – but it’s not only late stars like Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston and Marilyn Monroe who are making it to the big screen.

The next star to get their own film is none other than Kate Moss with the announcement of Moss & Freud, a movie about the supermodel’s unlikely relationship with late artist Lucian Freud.

What is Moss & Freud about?

Set in 2002 at the height of her fame, the film will focus on Moss’ experience of sitting for English painter Freud.

Freud was famous for avoiding celebrity placements, but the artist had a change of heart and contacted Moss after she revealed in an i-D magazine interview that one of her goals in life was to be a subject of one of his paintings, per Art Republic.

He ended up painting the supermodel over a nine-month period during her pregnancy with daughter Lila Grace Moss Hack, states the source.
